My Random Notes

so maybe she’ll tell him tonight
and maybe she’ll give him all that’s in her head
and she’ll say just how she feels
when all she feels is nothing
everything he doesn’t want to hear
it’s sad and a little bit true
but maybe we don’t see too clearly
when we hear what we want
and she doesn’t speak up so much
so he’d better sit and listen
stop before he thinks he needs to speak
to change her mind
it’s already done, but maybe he doesn’t know
so she’ll tell him till she can’t
and I hope he’ll really hear
for him I hope he takes it
and for her I hope she knows
the power in her words
