the questions |
somewhat there
is what I said
almost but not quite
everything I think I’ll want and need
but just that one thing missing
this isn’t what I gamble for
taking chances on it all
left with nothing more to show
if it’s another mis-direction
maybe a few lessons learned
but another unclear road
just beyond this present place
out of that line of sight
making decisions if I should make decisions
questions sit with so much patience
more than I have to give
almost there, but not at all
needing more than I can take
sinking a little deeper, getting swallowed up
hands folded, keep walking
can’t miss a beat of that unplayed music
