what if all those statues fell
lay crumbled on the floor
the ache of it permeates
it eats me alive sometimes
but then I’m free
and to bind it up again
won’t take away the pain
will only prove the shattered stones
that devastation caused by love so fierce
the coward couldn’t stand
but your arm can keep me up
fearless to those down here
because of only you
