getting wet |
rain falls in my coffee cup
wide awake and I’m thinking of you
it’s been days without that fight
but why does my face change
at the sight of you I falter
simplicity can be so frustrating
and yet I wait
for the next time around
the next chance I get
just might be the one that sets me free
so we circle the drain, just waiting to fall
wait and watch, what else can I do
it’s been never since I’ve had that fire
but these daydreams are breaking my heart
you’d think it would feel so good
but it beats me without regret
stories too hard to follow
but my heart knows the way
every time I fall, every time I break
so let it rain, let it pour
